Dream Interpretations
I wasn’t sure what else to do my topic on and dream interpretations did interested me a little. The bad thing was most of the interpretations were just theories, they weren’t very factual. Honestly I thought this would be an easy topic, but if you don’t really love your topic no matter what I guess it won’t be as easy. The authors I found were all really loony too. Most of the information I found I did not exactly agree with it. The highlights were reading the book Wake, by Lisa Mcmann, and doing my interaction recording my own dreams.
If I could have done something different I would have definitely not procrastinated. Mainly I would have picked a different topic. I would have picked a topic I truly wanted to know more about and then turned in everything on time. Also I wish I should have talked to my teacher several nights before our assignments were due to ask any questions I probably had.
I learned different ways and steps to remember and analyze your dream. I learned the different theorist such as Fraud and how much dreams have to do with psychology. I also learned that dreams happen mostly in the early mornings. I think dreams mean what you want them to mean. Dreams usually are there to tell you something and send you a message.

Interaction
My Dreams & What I Think They Mean
I had a dream one night that I was at a part party and this girl walked up to me. She has always been rude to everyone and had smart mouth comments, but she was crying and walking toward me. She came up to me and apologized for ever being mean to me and asked me if we could be friends. I just stood there for a second and right before I answered I woke up. I thought it was the weirdest, most random dream I have had in a while. I have not even seen her in a while or thought about her, so why would she be in my dream now?
From my research I think this dream is telling me to let everything from the past go and to move on. Don’t hold any grudges and live your life to the fullest. Maybe it means that that particular girl is in need of a friend right now and needs someone to reach out to her.
Another dream I had was I was laying out and when it got hot me and some friends decided to get in the pool. When we jumped in, I drowned. Before I completely lost my breath I woke up to my alarm before school.
I have been really stressed lately so I think this dream means I am maybe overwhelmed with school and work. Maybe it means I am just psychically and emotionally exhausted and I feel like I’m drowning in a whole that’s hard to get out of.
About a week ago I had a dream that my boyfriend and I went to the beach with some friends on vacation.
I know I have been dying to go on vacation especially to the beach, but I have no idea why my boyfriend was in it. I thought it was silly. I kind of had lucid dreaming towards the end so I could control what was going on more. I don’t know what the message was, but maybe it was telling I need a vacation!
I have always had this dream that in a forest somewhere and I don’t know if I’m on a plan or what, but I’m in the sky and all the sudden I just fall. I can like feel it too, it’s weird.
Falling dreams are some of the most common dreams. I have found that falling dreams mean you have a since of failure, which makes perfect sense that I would have them now, but not before. If it is a sign of failure maybe having them before was trying to warn me of the future. I have felt lately that I have failed in school work and haven’t made the best grades.

My Project Analysis
* I read Wake, by Lisa Mcmann.
* Honestly I chose this topic because I thought it might be easy and I did not have a clue what else to do it on. Dream interpretations do semi interest me, I wonder why I have recurring ones, but all the information I found was extremely repetitive.
* The most interesting thing I learned was how to actually analyze your dreams.
* My final opinion has not really changed, I did not really have an opinion on dream interpretations. I learned a little about the psychology of dreams that taught me a few things.
* What I really wished I would have done differently is to pick a different topic that I actually cared about. Also I wish I would have gotten all my assignments in on time.
* My interaction was recording the main dreams I have had recently in a journal every morning and I researched on what they really meant.

Craig Hamilton's Dream Interpretation
Dream Interpretations, by Craig Hamilton, discusses common dreams, “We all dream four to five times a night.” Especially we dream in early morning. Dreams are like a language through the unconscious mind. They talk in metaphors, symbolism, and in abstract. Hamilton says dreams talk about ourselves. The author discusses how dreams usually represent things we fear most. Again, this author explains as well that we need to look at what aspect of the dream represents us and our emotional issues. Dreams help us solve our problems and help us calm down and cool our emotions. Some believe that they can connect to other worlds through dreams. I agree with this particular author more. He seems a little more level headed. The main thing I do not like about this topic is there is not a lot of diverse information. Most psychologists state the same facts and beliefs. I do not think dreams solve our problems exactly, but may help us to see what they are.

Dream Interpretations
Dream Interpretation & Dream Meaning, by Eckankar, is a video about dream interpretations. It tells you the three steps to understanding your dreams. Step one is to write down the dream and ask yourself how it made you feel. Did it make you feel fear or courage? Also ask yourself what people and symbols were in it and what did those symbols mean to you. The second step is after you write down your dream completely forget about it, then stop and think about what is going on in your life right now. The author says dreams have meaning about what is going on in your life right now, he states, “Dreams are here to make your life better.” In the third step you use a spiritual technique which benefits your ability to open your love and consciousness so help solve daily problems. In step three you use what is called Hughes which is love songs to God. You are supposed to close your eyes and sing the Hughes two or three times. You ask what is in your heart and what the dream is trying to tell you.
This is was the absolute most boring video I have ever watched. I am honestly not even sure I could follow what was being said until after I made myself watch it several times. In my words this is one of the biggest crocks I have ever heard. The whole video was so mono-tone and the author sounded like he was in a cult. The only reason I used this video is because it was rated so popular, but why that is, I have no idea.

Ms. Terrell
In the novel Wake, by Lisa McMann, Janie Hanagan is not your average seventeen-year-old girl. Since she was eight she began to get sucked into other people’s dream, “She is floating. Not the falling dream again, she thinks. She is sick to death of the falling dream.” It is really getting old to her, but she doesn’t know how to stop or control it. She can’t even tell anyone what’s going on, she knows they wouldn’t believe her and they’d make fun of her. She falls into a horrific nightmare while driving one day and discovers over time it’s Cable’s recurring dream. They both help each other to come to the reality of their own lives
I really liked this book for the most part. It just took a little bit to get into it. The book was very short and did not give a lot of detail. On the other hand it was a cute love story in the end. I really did not care for the strong language, but that’s pretty much in every book. Overall Wake, by Lisa McMann, was a great book.

Dreams of a Lifetime
"Dreams of a Lifetime," by Jane Hollister,, looks back at her past life and talks about the important dreams of her lifetime. She believes that her dreams reflect the archaic spilt that C.G. Jung observed in the American psyche. The author grew up in Santa Barbara County, California. Within the boundaries of the Hollister Ranch were some of the inherited lands of the Chumash Indians. In childhood, Wheelright was close to the animals, the forces of the natural world, and the ancestral Chumash. In early adulthood, Wheelright was plunged into urbane European culture. Her inner tasks was to travel the typical content of her dreams from the world of Cro-Magnan woman to a modern twentieth-century women.
Jane also kept journals and recorded her dreams. She realized her dreams were trying to tell her something when she stated, "I was constantly being sent to my childhood environment." She had reoccurring dreams. The article discusses the difference of women form then and now, but it is not quite so clear what it has to do with dream interpretations. Maybe dreams symbolize an American girl's dream of the women from how they were then to how they were now.
